About the Programme
General History Programme
Through the sharing and discussion of Chinese history and cultural stories from the Xia dynasty (夏朝) to the Qing Dynasty (清朝), students will learn the history of China, its value, culture, and the traditional practice of the people.
Concurrently, students will be able to improve their proficiency in the Chinese language.
Focusing on the applicability of knowledge, and advocating cultural learning and practices combined with language usage, the curricula are customized to fit the needs of individual students.
Through discussion and conversational practices with our teachers, students will improve both their oral and comprehension capabilities.
Specially Designed Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed based on the general history of China, with insights into the application of Chinese culture in our daily lives.
It won’t be rigidly restricted just to cultural aspects but be all-encompassing and will emphasize the uniqueness and evolution of Chinese culture through the ages.
We will focus on the comparison between ancient and modern cultures, as well as understanding the intricacies and nuances of Chinese history and culture. e.g. Why the Great Wall of China was made; Why the Chinese are called the descendants of the Dragon, etc.
